Synopsis/Plot
The Mule is a crime drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Nick Schenk. The film follows Earl Stone (Clint Eastwood), a man in his 80s who is facing financial ruin and is offered a job that simply requires him to drive. Unbeknownst to Earl, he has just signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. He proves to be a surprisingly successful courier, evading the authorities and making more and more money. However, his success attracts the attention of the DEA, and they begin to close in on him.
Earl soon finds himself at the center of a cross-border drug smuggling operation, struggling to balance his newfound wealth with the consequences of his actions. The DEA agents, led by Colin Bates (Bradley Cooper), are determined to bring down the cartel and Earl, and the two sides clash in a thrilling game of cat and mouse. As Earl’s situation becomes more and more dire, he must decide whether to turn himself in and face the consequences of his actions, or to keep running and risk everything.
