Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Mighty”
The Mighty is a 1998 drama film directed by Peter Chelsom and starring Sharon Stone, Gena Rowlands, and Kieran Culkin. It tells the story of two misfit boys, Kevin (Culkin) and Max (Elden Henson), who become unlikely friends despite their differences.
The film opens with Kevin, a young boy who is struggling with his parents’ divorce, being sent to a new school. He is immediately picked on by the other kids, and he quickly meets Max, an outcast who is constantly bullied. Max has a rare disorder that causes him to grow at an accelerated rate, and he is often the subject of ridicule. Max and Kevin’s friendship is put to the test when they are forced to compete in a local adventure race.
