Synopsis/Plot
The Man with One Red Shoe is a 1985 American comedy film starring Tom Hanks and Dabney Coleman. The film follows the story of a young man, Richard (Hanks), who is mistaken for a spy by the CIA. After a series of misunderstandings, Richard finds himself in the middle of a dangerous game of espionage.
The film begins with a CIA mission gone wrong. The mission was to capture a foreign spy, but the wrong man is taken instead. The man is Richard, a humble violinist. After Richard is released, the CIA decides to use him as bait for the real spy, who is believed to be in town.
The CIA sets up a plan to have Richard unknowingly lead them to the spy. This plan involves giving Richard a red shoe and having him perform at a local concert. The CIA believes the spy will be attracted to the red shoe and follow Richard.
Meanwhile, the CIA’s rival agency, the FBI, is also on the hunt for the spy. They send their top agent, Morris (Coleman), to investigate Richard and the red shoe. Morris soon begins to suspect that Richard is not the spy and begins to fall in love with him.
