Synopsis/Plot
The Man Who Wasn’t There is a 2001 black-and-white film directed by the Coen brothers. The movie follows Ed Crane, a quiet, unassuming barber living in a small town in California in 1949. He is married to Doris, a woman who is having an affair with Big Dave Brewster, a local businessman.
When Ed discovers that his wife is cheating on him, he comes up with a plan to get revenge. He decides to blackmail Big Dave in exchange for money to start his own dry-cleaning business. However, things quickly spiral out of control as Ed gets involved in a murder investigation and finds himself in the middle of a complex web of deceit and lies.
