Synopsis/Plot
The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is a fantasy adventure film directed by Terry Gilliam. It follows the story of Toby, a cynical advertising director, who is sent to Spain to shoot a commercial. After getting lost in the countryside, he stumbles upon a small village where he meets an old shoemaker, who believes he is Don Quixote, the legendary Spanish knight. Toby soon finds himself on a journey of self-discovery, as he is forced to confront his own dreams and illusions. Along the way, he meets a beautiful young woman named Angelica, a mysterious wizard, and a host of other characters.
Toby soon discovers that the old shoemaker is not the only one who believes he is Don Quixote, as a group of bandits, led by a ruthless warlord, are also convinced that Toby is the legendary knight. Toby must confront this group of bandits, as well as the warlord, and his own inner demons, in order to save the village and ultimately himself.
