The film follows Professor Challenger (Beery) and his team of explorers as they embark on an expedition to a remote plateau in South America, where they discover prehistoric creatures still living in their natural habitat.
When news of the discovery reaches London, a rival expedition is organized by the wealthy Lord John Roxton (Stone). The two groups soon find themselves in a race to capture the creatures and bring them back to England.
The explorers soon discover the dangers of the plateau, including giant ape-like creatures, pterodactyls, and a giant lizard. As they battle these prehistoric beasts, they must also contend with the machinations of the rival expedition.
The Lost World is an exciting adventure film that pits humans against nature and rival expeditions in a battle for survival. With thrilling action sequences, spectacular special effects, and a thrilling score, this is a classic film that stands the test of time.
