Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Long Weekend”
The Long Weekend is a 2005 romantic comedy directed by Pat Holden and starring Chris Klein, Breckin Meyer, and Rachel Blanchard.
The movie follows two friends, Troy (Chris Klein) and Sean (Breckin Meyer), who are both in their late twenties and have been best friends since high school. They both have jobs and are content with their lives, but they feel like something is missing. So, they decide to take a long weekend away from their everyday lives and head to a beach house on the coast of Florida.
Once they arrive, they meet two beautiful women: Ashley (Rachel Blanchard) and her friend, Summer (Kate Hudson). Troy and Sean quickly hit it off with the girls and the foursome have a great time together. But as the weekend progresses, Troy and Ashley start to develop feelings for each other.
The four of them continue to have fun, going out to bars, playing beach volleyball, and just enjoying each other’s company. However, Troy and Ashley’s relationship begins to become more serious, and Sean starts to feel left out. He begins to worry that Troy and Ashley will leave him behind when the weekend is over.
Meanwhile, Troy and Ashley’s relationship continues to deepen, and they start to talk about a future together. But when Troy’s ex-girlfriend shows up unexpectedly, Ashley begins to question whether Troy is really ready for a relationship.
