Synopsis/Plot
The Living Daylights is a 1987 British spy film starring Timothy Dalton as James Bond. The fifteenth installment in the James Bond film series, it is the first to star Dalton as Bond and the first to feature the character’s new alias, 007.
The film follows Bond as he is sent to assist in the defection of a KGB officer, General Georgi Koskov, from a Soviet base in Afghanistan. The mission is complicated when Bond discovers that Koskov is being manipulated by a mysterious figure known as Whitaker. Meanwhile, Bond must also protect the beautiful cellist Kara Milovy from the KGB, who are determined to bring her back to the Soviet Union.
The Living Daylights features a number of thrilling action sequences, including a daring mid-air skydiving stunt, a daring motorcycle chase through the streets of Vienna, and a thrilling escape from a Soviet military base. The film also features a number of memorable characters, including the villainous Whitaker, the strong-willed Kara, and the suave and sophisticated James Bond.
