Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Legend of Billie Jean”
The Legend of Billie Jean tells the story of a teenage girl from Corpus Christi, Texas named Billie Jean Davy (Helen Slater). She is a bright, independent girl who lives with her mother, older brother Binx (Christian Slater) and her younger brother Keith (Keith Gordon).
One day, Billie Jean and her friends are at a local arcade when they are approached by a group of local thugs who demand that Billie Jean pay for a broken motorcycle that her brother Keith accidentally damaged. When Billie Jean refuses to pay, the thugs vandalize her brother’s scooter and threaten her.
In response, Billie Jean and her friends take the scooter and hide it in a nearby lake. When the thugs come looking for it, Billie Jean stands up to them and challenges them to a “fair fight” in which no weapons are allowed. The thugs agree and the fight takes place in a local park. Billie Jean wins the fight and becomes a local hero.
Inspired by her newfound fame, Billie Jean decides to take a stand against the local bullies and their unjust demands. She begins a campaign to raise money to replace the scooter and to fight off the thugs. Her campaign soon catches the attention of local media, and Billie Jean becomes a folk hero in her hometown.
However, the thugs are determined to get their revenge, and they enlist the help of a local businessman to track down Billie
