Synopsis/Plot
The Last Duel is an epic historical period drama directed by Ridley Scott and written by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Nicole Holofcener. Set in 14th century France, the movie follows the story of two best friends, Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) and Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver), who become embroiled in a bitter feud over a woman’s hand in marriage.
When Jean returns from a long campaign in the Hundred Years War, he discovers that his wife Marguerite (Jodie Comer) has been accused of adultery by his friend Jacques. In a desperate attempt to prove her innocence, Jean challenges Jacques to a duel, a battle that will decide the truth and the fateof both men.
