Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Killing of Two Lovers”
The Killing of Two Lovers is a 2021 drama film directed by Robert Machoian and starring Clayne Crawford, Sepideh Moafi, and Chris Coy. The film follows David, a father of four who is struggling to keep his family together after his wife, Nikki, asks for a divorce. Desperate to keep his family together, David takes drastic measures, and the film follows the consequences of his actions.
The film opens with David and Nikki’s marriage on the brink of collapse. Nikki has asked for a divorce and David is desperate to keep his family together. He decides to take matters into his own hands and invites his wife’s lover, Derek, to his home. David’s plan is to confront Derek and make Nikki realize that she still loves him. However, things take a turn for the worse when David’s anger leads him to threaten Derek with a gun.
Meanwhile, David’s teenage children are struggling to cope with their parents’ separation. His son, Ethan, is particularly affected and begins to rebel against his father. As the tension between David and Nikki continues to build, David’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic and dangerous.
When Nikki discovers that David has been keeping tabs on her and Derek, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
