Synopsis/Plot
The Kid is a comedy-drama film released in 2000, starring Bruce Willis, Spencer Breslin, and Emily Mortimer. The movie follows an eight-year-old boy named Rusty (Breslin), who is sent to live with his Uncle Ray (Willis) when his mother (Mortimer) is unable to take care of him. Rusty is a bright and mischievous kid, and his Uncle Ray is a bit of a slacker and a bit of a loner.
At first, Ray is resistant to taking care of Rusty, but soon he finds himself enjoying it. As the two bond, Ray teaches Rusty important lessons about life and love. He also helps Rusty deal with his mother’s abandonment and his own feelings of loneliness and insecurity.
