Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Keep”
The Keep is a horror/thriller film released in 1983. It tells the story of a group of Nazi officers who arrive at a remote castle in the Carpathian Mountains to store their looted treasures. While exploring the castle, they discover an ancient evil force that has been dormant for centuries.
The group of Nazis soon find themselves under attack by a mysterious, powerful force which has been unleashed by their presence. The evil force, known as the “Keeper”, begins to torment and kill the Nazis one by one.
Meanwhile, a Jewish man named Dr. Theodore Cuza (Scott Glenn) arrives at the castle in search of his daughter, Eva (Gabriel Byrne). Eva had been sent to the castle by her father to investigate the mysterious force.
Cuza soon discovers the truth about the Keeper and the ancient evil that it represents. He must now find a way to stop the Keeper and save his daughter.
