Synopsis/Plot
The Interview is a 2014 American comedy film directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The film stars James Franco and Seth Rogen as television journalists who set out to interview North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, only to be recruited by the CIA to assassinate him.
When Dave Skylark (James Franco) and producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) of the popular tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight” discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable,to assassinate Kim Jong-un. After entering North Korea, their plans change once more when they are invited to a lavish party and Dave develops a friendship with Kim Jong-un. As Dave and Aaron attempt to navigate their way through the treacherous waters of North Korea, they must confront their own feelings of morality and their loyalty to their country.
