Synopsis/Plot
The Hunted is a 2003 action thriller directed by William Friedkin and starring Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro. The film follows an FBI agent named Aaron Hallam (Jones) who is tasked with tracking down and apprehending a former Special Forces operative (Del Toro) who has gone rogue and is killing people in the Pacific Northwest.
The film opens with Hallam tracking down the killer, whom he has been searching for since his last mission in Kosovo. He finds the killer in the wilderness and engages him in a brutal fight. After a long and intense battle, Hallam manages to capture the killer and bring him back to civilization.
Once back in civilization, Hallam is tasked with interrogating the killer in order to find out why he has gone rogue and why he is killing people. Through the interrogation, Hallam discovers that the killer is suffering from PTSD due to his experiences in Kosovo and is seeking revenge against those he perceives as responsible for his suffering.
