Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Haunting”
The Haunting is a classic horror film from 1963, directed by Robert Wise. The movie follows Dr. Markway, a paranormal investigator, and a small group of people as they visit Hill House, a notoriously haunted mansion.
The group consists of Dr. Markway, his assistant, a skeptical young woman named Eleanor, and two people looking for a thrill, Theodora and Luke. Upon arriving at the mansion, the group is met with strange occurrences, such as strange noises and objects moving on their own.
The group soon discovers that Hill House is haunted by a malevolent spirit that has been living there for centuries. The spirit is determined to drive the group out and will stop at nothing to do so.
The group is terrorized by the spirit, which manifests itself as a malevolent force that causes objects to move, knocks on doors, and causes strange sounds. The group is also terrorized by visions of the past, including a woman in white, a man in a wheelchair, and an old woman.
The group soon discovers that the spirit is trying to possess Eleanor, and they must find a way to stop it before it’s too late. They must also find a way to escape the house before the spirit can claim Eleanor’s soul.
