Synopsis/Plot
The Haunted is a horror movie directed by Robert Mandel and released in 1991. It follows the story of a family who moves into a new house and soon discovers that it is haunted by the ghost of a young girl. The family soon finds themselves terrorized by the ghost and they must find a way to get rid of her before it’s too late.
The movie stars Aidan Quinn as the father, Kate Capshaw as the mother, and Jeffrey DeMunn as the family’s priest. It also features a young Lukas Haas as the son and a young Christina Ricci as the daughter.
The movie starts off with the family moving into the house and discovering that it is haunted. They soon find out that the ghost is a young girl who died in the house many years ago. She is determined to make them leave and will stop at nothing to get them out.
The family begins to experience terrifying events and soon realizes that they must find a way to get rid of the ghost before it’s too late. The priest helps them to uncover the truth behind the ghost and they discover that she is the daughter of a former tenant who died in the house.
