Synopsis/Plot
The Gruffalo is a 2009 British-German computer-animated fantasy comedy film based on the picture book of the same name by writer and illustrator Julia Donaldson. The film follows the adventures of a mouse who stumbles across a fearsome creature known as the Gruffalo.
The story begins in a deep, dark wood, where a clever little mouse is foraging for food. When the mouse meets a fox, an owl, and a snake, each of them warns him of the Gruffalo, a terrible creature with terrible claws, terrible teeth, and terrible eyes. The mouse is naturally terrified, but he is also a bit of a show-off, so he decides to bluff his way out of danger by inventing stories about this mythical creature.
The mouse’s bluff works until he meets the Gruffalo himself. The Gruffalo is a huge, scary creature with sharp claws, sharp teeth, and a horrible voice. The mouse is terrified, but he is also very clever. He comes up with a plan to outwit the Gruffalo and save his own skin.
