Synopsis/Plot
The Golden Child is a 1986 American fantasy-comedy film directed by Michael Ritchie and starring Eddie Murphy as Chandler Jarrell, a social worker who is summoned to a mystical world to save a mystical being known as The Golden Child from an evil sorcerer named Sardo Numspa.
Chandler is a street-wise social worker who is chosen by a mysterious group of Tibetan lamas to be the “Chosen One” and rescue The Golden Child, a mystical being with supernatural powers. He is aided by Kee Nang, a beautiful Tibetan woman who is also a guardian of The Golden Child.
Chandler and Kee Nang travel to Los Angeles to rescue The Golden Child from Sardo Numspa, an evil sorcerer who wants to use the child’s power for his own evil purposes. Along the way, Chandler must battle Numspa’s henchmen and supernatural forces. He also learns to use the power of The Golden Child to fight evil and save the world.
