Synopsis/Plot
The Getaway is a classic crime thriller starring Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw as a couple on the run from the law. The movie follows Doc McCoy (McQueen), a recently released convict who is forced to participate in a daring bank robbery in order to secure his freedom. Doc is promised a hefty sum of money for the job, but when he and his wife Carol (MacGraw) are double-crossed by their employers, they must go on the run. With the police hot on their heels, Doc and Carol must evade capture while also trying to stay one step ahead of their pursuers. Along the way, they must outwit a sadistic crime boss and a corrupt sheriff, all while trying to keep their relationship intact. The Getaway is a thrilling ride full of action, suspense, and romance, and is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
