Synopsis/Plot
The Foreigner is a 2017 action thriller starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. It follows the story of a humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past resurfaces when the IRA terrorist group kills his daughter in a bombing. In his relentless search for justice, Quan is forced to take on the powerful and dangerous forces of the British government, which is led by a former IRA leader, Liam Hennessy (Brosnan).
Quan is a humble businessman who has been living in London for years, trying to forget his past life in Vietnam. But when his daughter is killed in a terrorist bombing, his past comes back to haunt him. He decides to take matters into his own hands and embarks on a mission to find those responsible for her death. He is determined to get justice, no matter what the cost.
Hennessy is a former IRA leader and the current British Minister of Defense. He is in charge of the government’s anti-terrorism efforts and is determined to keep the peace. He is powerful and dangerous, and Quan must use all of his resources to outwit him.
