Synopsis/Plot
The Fog is a classic horror film from 1980 directed by John Carpenter. Set in a small coastal town of Antonio Bay, the story follows a group of locals as they are terrorized by a mysterious fog containing the vengeful spirits of long-dead mariners. As the fog rolls in, the townspeople become aware of a presence lurking within the mist, and soon discover that the source of the eerie fog is a ship that was wrecked in the bay one hundred years ago. The ship was carrying a cargo of lepers, who were seeking a new home, but were instead left to die in the fog. Now, the vengeful spirits of the dead mariners have returned to exact their revenge on the descendants of the townspeople who allowed them to perish.
The Fog follows a group of characters as they try to unravel the mystery of the fog and its connection to the shipwreck. The group includes a local radio DJ named Stevie Wayne (Adrienne Barbeau), a mysterious stranger named John Houseman (Hal Holbrook), and a group of teenagers who are out to have some fun.
