Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Falcon and the Snowman”
The Falcon and the Snowman is a 1985 American spy thriller film starring Timothy Hutton and Sean Penn. It is based on the true story of two young men, Christopher Boyce (Hutton) and Andrew Daulton Lee (Penn), who sold classified government information to the Soviet Union in the 1970s.
The story begins with Christopher Boyce, a young man from a wealthy family, working as a security guard in a government facility. He quickly becomes disillusioned with the government and its policies, and decides to turn against it. He turns to his childhood friend, Andrew Daulton Lee, a drug dealer and smuggler, for help. Together, they come up with a plan to sell classified government information to the Soviet Union.
At first, the two are successful in their venture, but soon the FBI catches on to their activities. The FBI begins to investigate the two men, and they are forced to go on the run. With the FBI hot on their trail, the two men must evade capture and find a way to get the information to the Soviets.
As the story progresses, the two men face many obstacles as they attempt to outwit the FBI and the CIA. Christopher and Andrew must also deal with their own inner demons as their relationship is tested by the danger and betrayal that comes with their mission.
