Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Evil of Frankenstein”
The Evil of Frankenstein is a 1964 British horror film directed by Freddie Francis and starring Peter Cushing and Peter Woodthorpe. The film is based on the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
The film follows Baron Victor Frankenstein, an ambitious scientist who has been exiled from his home town of Karlstadt. He is determined to create life, and with the help of his assistant, Hans, he creates a creature using body parts from corpses. The creature is brought to life, but is uncontrollable and escapes into the nearby woods.
The creature is eventually captured by a group of gypsies, who take it back to their camp. Frankenstein is able to control the creature, and uses it to help him in his experiments. However, the creature soon begins to show signs of evil, and it starts to wreak havoc on the townspeople.
Frankenstein and Hans try to contain the creature, but it eventually escapes and starts to kill people. Frankenstein and Hans are then pursued by the townspeople, who are determined to kill the creature.
The film culminates in a showdown between Frankenstein and the creature, with Frankenstein ultimately emerging victorious. The film ends with Frankenstein warning the townspeople to never attempt to create life again.
