Synopsis/Plot
The Edge is a 1997 American survival drama film directed by Lee Tamahori and starring Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, and Harold Perrineau Jr. The film follows Charles Morse (Hopkins), a billionaire businessman, and Robert Green (Baldwin), a photographer, who are stranded in the Alaskan wilderness after their plane crashes. With only a few meager supplies, the two men must rely on each other to survive the harsh environment and the dangerous predators that inhabit it.
The film opens with Charles and Robert flying in a private plane over Alaska. When the plane suddenly loses power, they crash land in the wilderness. With no way to contact the outside world, their only hope for survival is to make it to the nearest town, over 200 miles away. With limited supplies, the two men must find food, shelter, and a way to survive the cold temperatures.
As the two men travel through the wilderness, they must confront their own inner demons as well as the dangerous predators that inhabit the land. The two men must also learn to trust each other and rely on each other if they are to make it out alive.
