Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Driver”
The Driver is a 1978 crime thriller directed by Walter Hill and starring Ryan O’Neal as the Driver, an anonymous getaway driver for hire. The Driver is a man of few words and a master of his craft, but when he takes on a seemingly simple job of driving a group of criminals to a bank robbery, he soon finds himself in over his head.
The Driver is pursued by a relentless detective, played by Bruce Dern. As the Driver attempts to evade the police, he finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the detective, who is determined to bring him to justice.
Meanwhile, the Driver’s employer, a mysterious man known only as The Cowboy, has other plans. He wants the Driver to help him pull off a daring heist that could make them both very rich. The Driver reluctantly agrees, but soon realizes that he may be in too deep.
The Driver is a thrilling ride full of action-packed car chases, suspenseful shootouts, and intense confrontations.
