The Devil’s Own is a 1997 action-thriller starring Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt. It follows the story of an Irish Republican Army (IRA) member, Frankie McGuire (Brad Pitt), who has been sent to America to purchase weapons to use in his fight against the British. While in America, Frankie is taken in by an unsuspecting family, the Ryans, and is welcomed as a lodger. Little do they know, Frankie is not who he seems.
Tom O’Meara (Harrison Ford), a New York police officer, is assigned to investigate Frankie’s activities. As the investigation progresses, Tom discovers that Frankie is a member of the IRA and is determined to bring him to justice. Tom is torn between his duty to uphold the law and his growing friendship with Frankie.
