Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Den”
The Den is a 2013 psychological horror film directed by Zachary Donohue. It follows a young woman named Elizabeth Benton (Melanie Papalia) as she investigates an online chat room, only to find herself in a terrifying situation.
Elizabeth is a graduate student studying the effects of social media on modern communication. She begins using a chat room called “The Den”, which is populated by a variety of strange characters. Elizabeth soon finds herself drawn into the lives of the people she meets in the chat room, and begins to form relationships with them.
However, Elizabeth soon discovers that the chat room is not as harmless as it appears. She begins to receive threatening messages from someone who calls himself “The Watcher”. As Elizabeth digs deeper into the chat room, she finds out that The Watcher is actually a serial killer who has been using the chat room to lure in victims.
Elizabeth is determined to stop The Watcher, and she enlists the help of her friends to track down the killer. They eventually discover that he is a man named John (David Schlachtenhaufen), who has been using the chat room to find victims for his twisted games.
With the help of her friends, Elizabeth attempts to stop John and save the other people in the chat room from becoming his next victims. However, as the stakes continue to rise, Elizabeth finds herself in a race against time to save her own life.
