Synopsis/Plot
The Day Shall Come is a 2019 British-American comedy-drama film directed by Christopher Morris. It stars Anna Kendrick, Denis O’Hare, Kayvan Novak, and Jim Gaffigan. The film follows an impoverished preacher in Miami who is offered cash to save his family from eviction. Unbeknownst to him, the FBI is using him as a pawn in a larger sting operation.
The Day Shall Come follows Moses Al Shabaz (Novak), an impoverished preacher in Miami who is struggling to provide for his family. When he is offered a large sum of money to save his family from eviction, he accepts, unaware that the money is part of a larger FBI sting operation. The FBI agents, led by Kendra Glack (Kendrick), are attempting to entrap Moses into a terrorist plot in order to make a name for themselves.
Moses is determined to use the money for good, and sets out to build a new church for his congregation. However, his plans are thwarted by the FBI agents, who are determined to make him look like a terrorist and take him down.
