Synopsis/Plot
The Crush is a 1993 psychological thriller directed by Alan Shapiro and starring Cary Elwes and Alicia Silverstone.
The story follows Nick Eliot, a young journalist who takes a job as a live-in writer for a wealthy family in Seattle. He quickly develops a crush on the family’s teenage daughter, Adrian, who is a precocious and manipulative young girl.
Nick soon finds himself in an increasingly dangerous situation as Adrian’s obsession with him grows. She begins to sabotage his chances of getting a job at a prestigious newspaper and even goes as far as to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit.
As Nick’s life spirals out of control, he must face his own fears and confront Adrian in order to save himself.
