Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Couch Trip”
The Couch Trip is a 1988 comedy starring Dan Aykroyd and Charles Grodin. The movie follows the story of Walter Davis (Aykroyd), a down-on-his-luck psychiatrist who is sent to prison for fraud. When he is released, he is offered a job as a stand-in for a famous psychiatrist, Dr. Emilio Ventana (Grodin). Walter takes the job, not knowing that Ventana is a fraud himself, and he is soon embroiled in a wild scheme involving Ventana’s attempt to swindle a wealthy heiress.
