The Concrete Jungle is a 1982 American crime drama directed by Joseph Ruben and starring Charles Durning, Joe Pantoliano, and Rachel Ward.
The film follows the story of John D’Angelo (Durning), a former cop turned small-time criminal who is released from prison after serving time for a crime he didn’t commit. Upon his release, he is determined to get revenge on the crooked cops who framed him. He teams up with his old partner, Eddie (Pantoliano), and together they plan a daring heist.
Meanwhile, John meets and falls in love with a young woman named Susan (Ward). Susan is trying to escape her abusive husband, but John’s criminal lifestyle puts her in danger. Despite the risks, their relationship deepens and they soon become an unlikely couple.
