Synopsis/Plot
The Class is a 2008 French drama film directed by Laurent Cantet and based on the novel “Entre les Murs” by François Bégaudeau. It follows the story of François Marin, a French teacher in a multiethnic high school in Paris, and his struggles to engage his students in the learning process.
The film begins with François introducing himself to his new class of students. He quickly learns that his students come from a variety of backgrounds, from French natives to immigrants from Africa and the Middle East. He is determined to make a real connection with his students, but finds it difficult to break through the language and cultural barriers.

The film ends with François reflecting on his experiences and the lessons he has learned. He is proud of the progress he has made with his students, and is hopeful that they will continue to grow and develop.
