Synopsis – What to Expect from “The City of Gold”
The City of Gold is a 2018 drama film directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and produced by Fox Star Studios. The film follows the story of a middle-class family in Mumbai who are struggling to make ends meet.
The film begins with the introduction of Adi (Amit Sadh), a young man who is trying to make a living in Mumbai. He works as a delivery boy and is struggling to make ends meet. His family consists of his father, a retired school teacher, his mother, a homemaker, and his sister, who is a college student.
One day, Adi discovers that his father has been hiding a secret from him. His father had been a part of an expedition to find the mythical city of gold, El Dorado. He had kept this a secret from Adi and his family out of fear of ridicule.
Adi is inspired by his father’s story and decides to take a chance and go on a quest to find El Dorado. He embarks on a journey with his best friend, Anil (Karan Deol). Along the way, they encounter many obstacles and challenges. They also meet a mysterious girl, Nisha (Isha Talwar), who helps them on their journey.
