Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Car”
The Car is a 1977 horror thriller film directed by Elliot Silverstein and starring James Brolin, Kathleen Lloyd, and John Marley.
The film begins in a small town in Utah, where a mysterious black car is terrorizing the residents. Local sheriff Wade Parent (James Brolin) is the first to encounter the car, and he soon realizes that it is possessed by an evil force. He and his deputy, Luke (John Marley) try to stop the car, but it is too powerful for them.
Meanwhile, a young couple, Lauren (Kathleen Lloyd) and David (R.G. Armstrong), are driving through the area and become the car’s next victims. The car chases them and nearly kills them, but they manage to escape.
Sheriff Parent and his deputy enlist the help of a mysterious stranger, named “The Man” (Ronny Cox), who has experience with the supernatural. Together, they attempt to destroy the car, but it is too powerful for them and they must resort to unconventional methods.
The car continues to terrorize the town, killing multiple people and destroying property. Eventually, Sheriff Parent and his team devise a plan to lure the car into a trap. They succeed in trapping the car and destroying it, but the evil force is still present and must be destroyed.
The team eventually discovers that the car was created by a local cult leader, who is trying to bring about the end
