Synopsis/Plot
The Bucket List is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Rob Reiner and starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. The film follows two terminally ill men (Nicholson and Freeman) on their road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they “kick the bucket”. Edward Cole (Nicholson) is a billionaire hospital magnate, while Carter Chambers (Freeman) is an auto mechanic, and both have been diagnosed with cancer. The two men become unlikely friends and embark on a journey around the world to fulfill their bucket list of things to do before they die. Along the way, they experience the beauty of the world, and learn to appreciate the life they have been given. The men take a hot air balloon ride in Egypt, go on a safari in Africa, ride motorcycles in the Himalayas, and even go skydiving. They also learn to appreciate the little things in life, like visiting the Louvre in Paris and eating fish and chips in London. The Bucket List is a heart-warming story about friendship, life, and death, and it’s sure to make you laugh and cry.
