Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Brothers Solomon”
The Brothers Solomon is a 2007 comedy film about two brothers, John (Will Arnett) and Dean (Will Forte), who are desperate to fulfill the dying wish of their father, who wanted to see them have children.
John and Dean, two socially inept brothers, are left with the task of fulfilling their father’s last wish: to have grandchildren. Unable to find women to date, they decide to make a baby the old-fashioned way, by finding a surrogate mother.
The brothers enlist the help of their eccentric neighbor, Dr. Leslie Veneer (Kristen Wiig), who agrees to help them find a suitable woman. The brothers search for a woman willing to carry their child, but soon find themselves in a series of awkward and embarrassing situations.
The brothers’ search eventually leads them to a single mother, Janine (Malin Akerman), who agrees to carry their child. As the pregnancy progresses, the brothers learn to become better men and better brothers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Veneer develops a romantic interest in John, while Dean begins to fall for Janine. As the brothers prepare for the birth of their child, they must also learn to accept their differences and come together as a family.
