Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Boys from Brazil”
The Boys from Brazil is a 1978 film directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and starring Gregory Peck and Laurence Olivier. The film is based on the novel by Ira Levin and tells the story of Nazi hunter Ezra Lieberman (Peck) who discovers a sinister plot by Dr. Josef Mengele (Olivier) to clone Adolf Hitler.
The story begins in Paraguay, where a group of Nazi war criminals are living in exile. Among them is Dr. Josef Mengele, a former doctor at Auschwitz, who has been living in South America since the end of World War II. Mengele has developed a plan to clone Hitler in order to create a new generation of Nazis. He has already succeeded in cloning several children, all of whom are living in different parts of the world.
Meanwhile, in the United States, Nazi hunter Ezra Lieberman is investigating the mysterious disappearance of a Jewish family. His investigation leads him to Paraguay, where he discovers Mengele’s cloning project. Realizing the danger posed by the project, Lieberman sets out to stop Mengele and his clones.
Lieberman travels to Europe and infiltrates Mengele’s inner circle. He soon discovers that Mengele is planning to use the clones to start a Fourth Reich. With the help of a group of Nazi hunters, Lieberman sets out to stop Mengele and his clones before it’s too late.
