Synopsis/Plot
The Boss is a 2016 American comedy film starring Melissa McCarthy as Michelle Darnell, a powerful and ruthless businesswoman who is sent to prison for insider trading. After her release, she finds herself homeless and penniless, and is forced to move in with her former assistant, Claire (Kristen Bell). With nothing left to lose, Michelle decides to start a brownie business and recruits a ragtag group of misfits to help her. With Claire’s help, Michelle builds a successful business empire and learns to become a better person in the process. Along the way, she also finds love with a wealthy businessman (Peter Dinklage).
