Along the way, he is joined by a princess named Eilonwy, a bard named Fflewddur Fflam, and a wild creature named Gurgi. Together, they must find the legendary Black Cauldron and destroy it before the Horned King can use it to unleash an army of undead warriors.
The movie begins with Taran, a young assistant pig-keeper, dreaming of one day becoming a great warrior. When the Horned King invades the kingdom of Prydain, Taran is forced to take up arms and join the fight.
