Synopsis/Plot

The Big Hit is a 1998 action-comedy directed by Kirk Wong and starring Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christina Applegate, Bokeem Woodbine, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Lela Rochon.

The movie follows Melvin Smiley (Mark Wahlberg), an unassuming hitman who works for a crime boss named Cisco (Lou Diamond Phillips). Melvin’s crew consists of his close friend, Keats (Bokeem Woodbine), the hot-headed T. (Antonio Sabato Jr.), the soft-spoken Pahpshmir (Lela Rochon), and the newcomer, Vince (played by Wahlberg’s real-life brother Robert).

When Melvin and his crew are hired to kidnap the daughter of a wealthy businessman, everything goes wrong. The kidnapping turns into a hostage situation, and Melvin and his crew must now find a way to save the girl and get out alive. Along the way, they must contend with rival gangs, the police, and the FBI.
