Synopsis – What to Expect from “The Best Man”
The Best Man is a romantic comedy-drama released in 1999 starring Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard and Sanaa Lathan.
The movie follows Harper Stewart (Taye Diggs), a successful author who is about to get married to his long-time girlfriend, Robyn (Nia Long). Harper is also the best man at his best friend Lance’s (Morris Chestnut) wedding, which is only a few days away. As Harper and Robyn make their final preparations for the wedding, Harper’s past comes back to haunt him.
When Harper’s college buddy, Murch (Harold Perrineau), shows up with an old flame of Harper’s, Jordan (Sanaa Lathan), Harper is forced to confront his past. With the wedding only days away, Harper is torn between his commitment to Robyn and his feelings for Jordan. As Harper struggles to make a decision, he learns about the importance of friendship, loyalty and love.
