The Best Man Holiday is a 2013 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee. The film stars an ensemble cast featuring Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa, and Eddie Cibrian.
The story centers around a group of college friends who reunite after 15 years for the Christmas holidays. When the friends, now all successful professionals, come together, they find that although their lives have changed, their bond has not. They soon discover the true meaning of friendship and family as they support each other through the ups and downs of life.
The movie begins with Harper Stewart (Taye Diggs) and his wife Robyn (Sanaa Lathan) arriving at the home of Lance Sullivan (Morris Chestnut) and his wife Mia (Monica Calhoun). Harper and Lance are college friends who haven’t seen each other in 15 years, and the reunion is full of joy and nostalgia. Lance’s wife Mia invites all of their college friends to come to their home for a holiday reunion.
