Synopsis/Plot
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a delightful British comedy-drama film directed by John Madden and written by Ol Parker. It stars an all-star cast including Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Dev Patel, and Penelope Wilton.
The movie follows a group of British retirees who decide to take a chance on a new life in India by moving into the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. They each have their own unique reasons for making the move, but all of them are looking for a fresh start in a place where they can make the most of their golden years.
Once they arrive, they find the hotel is not quite what they expected. It is run-down and in need of serious renovation, and the hotel manager, Sonny (Dev Patel), is struggling to keep everything running smoothly.
