The Bedroom Window is a 1987 romantic thriller directed by Curtis Hanson. The film stars Steve Guttenberg as Terry Lambert, a successful advertising executive who works in Boston. He lives in a comfortable suburban home with his beautiful wife, Denise (Isabelle Huppert).
One night, Terry is awakened by a noise coming from outside his bedroom window. He peers out and sees a woman being attacked by a man in the alley below. Terry rushes to help but is too late. The attacker runs off and the woman is left injured and unconscious.
Terry takes the woman, named Sylvia (Elizabeth McGovern), back to his home and hides her from the police. He soon discovers that Sylvia is a witness to a murder and is being pursued by the killer. He decides to protect her and keep her safe.
As the two grow closer, they develop feelings for each other. But Terry must find a way to keep Sylvia safe while still protecting his marriage and his own life. With the help of his friend, Jeff (Carl Lumbly), he begins to unravel the mystery behind the murder.
