Synopsis – What to Expect from “That Darn Cat!”
That Darn Cat! is a 1965 American comedy film directed by Robert Stevenson and starring Hayley Mills, Dean Jones, Dorothy Provine, Roddy McDowall, and Ed Wynn. The plot follows a teenage girl living in a small town in Massachusetts who discovers a cat wearing a wristwatch with a note attached to it. With the help of her brother and the FBI, she attempts to discover why the cat was wearing the watch and who sent it.
The story takes place in the small town of Edgefield, Massachusetts. Patti Randall (Hayley Mills) is a teenage girl who lives with her parents and older brother, Ingrid (Dean Jones). One day, while walking through the woods, Patti finds a cat wearing a wristwatch with a note attached to it. The note reads, “Help Get This Man Out of a Jam”. Intrigued, Patti decides to investigate the mystery of the note and the cat.
Patti and Ingrid enlist the help of the FBI, who put Agent Zeke Kelso (Roddy McDowall) on the case. Zeke and his team attempt to uncover the identity of the man in the note and why the cat was wearing the watch. As they investigate, they discover that the cat belongs to a local bank robber, Dink Jenkins (Ed Wynn). Dink is planning to rob the local bank and has enlisted the help of his accomplice, Gabe (Robert Culp
