Synopsis – What to Expect from “Thanks for Sharing”
Thanks for Sharing is a romantic comedy-drama film about three people who are struggling to overcome their own personal demons and learn to accept themselves for who they are.
The movie follows Adam (Mark Ruffalo), a recovering sex addict, who has been sober for five years and is now trying to move on with his life. He meets Phoebe (Gwyneth Paltrow), a young woman who is also in recovery, and the two eventually form a relationship.
Adam’s sponsor, Mike (Tim Robbins), is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for twenty-five years. He is a source of support for Adam, and helps him to stay on the right path.
Adam’s friend, Neil (Josh Gad), is a sex addict who is not ready to commit to a sober lifestyle. He is struggling to come to terms with his addiction, and is often the source of comic relief throughout the movie.
The movie follows the three characters as they navigate their own personal journeys towards recovery. Along the way, they learn to accept themselves and each other, and eventually form a strong bond.
The movie also explores the relationships between Adam and his friends and family, as well as between the three main characters. In the end, they all learn that self-acceptance is the key to true happiness.
