Synopsis – What to Expect from “Thanatomorphose”
Thanatomorphose is a 2012 Canadian horror film directed by Éric Falardeau. It follows the story of a young woman named Emily (Kayden Rose) who wakes up one morning to find her body slowly decaying and rotting away.
The film opens with Emily waking up one morning with a strange feeling that something is wrong with her body. She notices that her skin is discolored and her limbs are becoming stiff. She goes to the doctor and is told that she has a rare condition called Thanatomorphose, which causes her body to slowly decompose.
As Emily’s body continues to decay, she begins to lose her grip on reality. She starts to experience hallucinations and delusions and becomes increasingly isolated from the world around her. Her friends and family try to help her but are unable to do anything to stop her condition from progressing.
Emily’s physical and mental state deteriorates to the point where she can no longer take care of herself and she is forced to move into a nursing home. There, she meets a strange old man who seems to understand her condition and helps her cope with her situation.
As Emily’s condition continues to worsen, she begins to experience vivid nightmares and visions of death. She eventually comes to terms with her impending death and is able to make peace with her fate.
Thanatomorphose is a powerful and disturbing horror film that explores the themes of death, mortality, and the fragility of life
