Synopsis/Plot
Tell It to the Bees is a 2018 British drama film directed by Annabel Jankel and starring Anna Paquin and Holliday Grainger. Set in 1950s Scotland, the film tells the story of a single mother, Lydia (Paquin), who moves to a small town with her son Charlie (Gregor Selkirk). Lydia quickly finds a job as a doctor at the local hospital, where she meets Jean (Grainger), a beekeeper. Despite the disapproval of the townspeople, the two women become close friends and eventually fall in love. As their relationship blossoms, the two women must face the consequences of their love in a time when same-sex relationships were not accepted.
