Synopsis – What to Expect from “Taste the Blood of Dracula”
Taste the Blood of Dracula is a British horror film released in 1970. It is the third installment in Hammer Film Productions’ Dracula series, and stars Christopher Lee as Count Dracula.
The film opens with three elderly Victorian gentlemen, Lord Courtley (Geoffrey Keen), Mr. Waller (John Carson), and Mr. Paxton (Peter Sallis), who are looking for new and exciting experiences. They meet an enigmatic stranger, who offers them a chance to join in a ritual that will grant them the power to avenge wrongs. Unaware of the consequences, the three men agree and drink the stranger’s blood, which turns out to be the blood of Dracula.
The ritual has a powerful effect on the men, transforming them into vampires. As they begin to succumb to their new-found powers, they are tracked down by Dracula’s daughter, the beautiful vampire woman, Tania (Linda Hayden). She has come to avenge her father’s death and is determined to make the men pay for their actions.
Meanwhile, Dracula’s faithful servant, Klove (John Forbes-Robertson), is searching for his master’s remains in order to resurrect him. With the help of the three men, Klove is successful in his mission and Dracula is brought back to life.
